Parking Regulations
Sec. 8-1-48 Parking Limits.
(a) No person shall park any vehicle for a period of time longer than two (2) hours between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday on any of the following streets:
(1) Main Street from Elroy Street to its junction with Liberty Street;
(2) On Second Main Street from Prospect Street to Liberty Street;
(3) On Prospect Street between Main Street and Second Main Street.
(b) No person, except physicians on emergency calls, shall park or leave standing any vehicle between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on any of the following streets:
(1) Main Street from Elroy Street to its junction with Liberty Street;
(2) Second Main Street from Prospect Street to Liberty Street;
(3) Prospect Street between Main Street and Second Main Street;
nor shall any person park or leave standing any vehicle on any Street in the City of Elroy for a period of forty-eight (48) or more consecutive hours in the same location at any time. When any police officer shall find a vehicle standing upon a street in violation of the provisions of this Subsection, he/she is authorized to move such a vehicle or to require the operator in charge thereof to move such vehicle to a position permitted under this Section. The police officer may cause said vehicle to be removed to a public garage or storage area within the City where storage space is available and in such case the owner shall pay the costs of removing said vehicle and the storage fees on said vehicle before he/she may recover the possession thereof. It is further provided that if such police officer shall have a good reason to believe that any vehicle found on any street is a stolen vehicle, or if the owner or person in charge of any vehicle which has been involved in a violation of any traffic ordinance or regulation of the City of Elroy cannot be ascertained, said police officer is- hereby authorized to remove such vehicle to a public garage and the owner of such vehicle shall be liable for the costs of removal and for storage costs on same.
(c) No person shall park or cause to be parked, except physicians on emergency calls, on any street in the City of Elroy in violation of the hours as posted on the signs placed at or reasonably near the corporate limits of the City of Elroy in accordance with the provisions of Sec. 349.13, Wis. Stats.
(d) No person shall park any vehicle between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the parking area in front of the theater as designated by the signs posted there.
(e) No person shall park any vehicle on the south side of Cedar Street from Western Avenue going west.
(f) No person shall park any vehicle on the south side of Wisconsin Street from Academy Street to State Hwy 71.
